How to Care for Your Jwellery

Our bracelets are handcrafted with natural crystals and gemstones, each with unique physical and chemical properties. Proper care will preserve the stone's luster, protect the integrity of the bracelet, and extend its lifespan for years of wear.

Daily Wear Precautions

  • Avoid contact with chemicals: Remove your bracelet before using perfumes, body lotions, hairsprays, household cleaners, or swimming in chlorinated pools, hot tubs, or the ocean. Chemicals can permanently damage the surface of natural stones, cause discoloration, and erode the elastic cord.

  • Prevent impact and abrasion: Natural gemstones can crack, chip, or scratch when dropped or knocked against hard surfaces. Remove your bracelet during high-impact activities, exercise, gardening, or heavy manual work. Store it separately from other jewellery to avoid scratches from harder stones or metal pieces.

  • Avoid extreme temperature and prolonged sunlight: Long-term exposure to direct sunlight, high temperatures, or extreme temperature changes can cause fading, cracking, or dehydration of natural stones. Do not leave your bracelet in direct sunlight, near heating vents, or in hot cars for extended periods.

Proper Cleaning Method

  • Regular gentle cleaning: Wipe the surface of the stones and cord with a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth after each wear to remove body oils, dust, and sweat.

  • Deep cleaning (when needed): For most natural stones, fill a bowl with lukewarm (not hot) water and a small amount of mild, fragrance-free, phosphate-free soap. Soak the bracelet for 1-2 minutes, then gently scrub the stones with a very soft-bristled brush (like a soft toothbrush) to remove stubborn dirt.

  • Rinse and dry thoroughly: Rinse the bracelet with clean lukewarm water to remove all soap residue, then pat it completely dry with a soft cloth before storing or wearing again. Ensure the elastic cord is fully dry to prevent stretching or degradation.

  • Special note: For porous stones (such as Sodalite, Lapis Lazuli), avoid prolonged soaking. Use a damp soft cloth for cleaning instead to prevent water damage and discoloration.

Storage Guidelines

  • Store your bracelet in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity. A fabric-lined jewellery box, soft pouch, or individual compartment is ideal.

  • Keep the bracelet laid flat when storing, do not hang it for long periods, as this will stretch and weaken the elastic cord over time.

  • For long-term storage, check the bracelet periodically to ensure the elastic cord is in good condition, and restring it if you notice any signs of fraying or stretching.

Elastic Cord Care

  • Our bracelets are strung with high-quality elastic cord for comfortable wear. To maintain its strength:

  • Do not overstretch the bracelet when putting it on or taking it off. Roll it gently over your hand instead of pulling it hard.

  • Avoid getting the cord wet for prolonged periods, as water can break down the elastic fibers and cause premature breakage.

  • We recommend restringing your bracelet every 6-12 months, depending on how often you wear it, to prevent accidental breakage and stone loss.
